Founder of a NY/Metro ad agency, internet pioneer, copywriter, new business guy, public speaker...and I make good coffee.

 

I've made millions of pitches and presentations to Fortune 500s and start-ups, clients and prospects alike, internal and public facing. I really love the challenge and I've learned a few things along the way.

 

While earning a Master at Teaching degree, I saw that some of my colleagues didn't have the communication skills they would need to make themselves understood. It would hold them back. That realization, combined with my business experience, became the inspiration for Presentation TuneUps.

 

The marquee accounts at the 4A's ad agency I founded in NYC, Brett Associates, included the New York Stock Exchange, Fiduciary Trust, Hertz, SONY, a well-heeled American leather goods purveyor, and some high-end stereo stores - to name only a few. We did it all.

The agency created campaigns for a cellphone company that grew into Verizon, and a payroll company that exited to ADP.  From my home office, I built the first website for the Citizen Watch Company and my team partnered with others to establish one of the first enterprise online stores for The Sports Authority.

 

More recently I've worked with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, teaching large and small groups of scientists, doctors, and healthcare communicators.

 

I mentor start-up firms, entrepreneurs, and CEOs in my Board of Advisors role with the RAISE Forum hosted by Emory University's Goizueta Business School.

 

Small businesses and national corporations call me to consult when communication matters.
